What is Box of Hugs doing in response to Covid-19

 

We appreciate it’s a worrying time for everyone right now and our team here at Box of Hugs are taking it very seriously and assure you that we are following all the government Public Health guidelines to ensure we stay safe and offer you peace of mind when ordering from us.

Keeping our packing area safe:

Due to the social distancing regulations we now only have one person packing your gifts in a premises only accessed by that person. As well as frequent hand washing, all work surfaces within the packing area are sprayed with an antibacterial detergent and wiped down, along with all door handles at regular intervals throughout the day.

Parcels are left securely for the courier to collect and there is no physical contact between us and the courier driver.

Delivery times: 

With currently only one member of staff fulfilling your orders our delivery time has been extended to a minimum of 2-3 working days, and because we are already incredibly busy, we may need to stop taking orders temporarily to allow us to catch up. We really do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we hope you understand that we are doing the best we can in these difficult times. 


Keeping our distance during delivery: 

All gifts are delivered via our chosen courier, DPD who exercise strict social distancing measures ensuring you do not have to get within 2 metres of the delivery person with contactless delivery. You can leave a note on the door telling DPD where to leave your parcel or within the notification you receive via sms you can ask them to leave in a safe place. When delivering parcels DPD will knock on your door then step away before you answer to ensure they are a safe distance away. There is no need to sign their handheld device at this time.
